NEW MANDATES FROM THE GOVERNOR AND ITS EFFECTS ON OUR SERVICES (EFFECTIVE AS OF 11-23-20)
1. All Virginians 5 years of age and older are mandated to wear a mask in public places, if they are able to. This is a change, as previously, the lowest age limit was 10 years old. Exemptions still apply as before, in that if someone cannot wear a mask for medical reasons they do not have to, nor are they required to disclose their medical condition. We are also not allowed to ask their medical condition.
2. The number allowed to gather in public places has been lowered from 250 people to 25 people. This does not include religious services, schools, or employment. Currently all of our church gatherings are considered religious services as long as there is prayer and a time of devotion. Religious services include weddings, funerals, praise and worship, regular worship, bible studies and Sunday School. Religious services do not include receptions that follow weddings or funerals.
